Nightlife

Dutch cities come alive at night thanks to a thriving nightlife. Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht, in particular, provide a wide range of choices. There's plenty for everyone, from cosy pubs and craft beer bars to vibrant nightclubs and live music venues. Whether you love jazz and live performances or electronic dance music, the Netherlands' nightlife culture is diverse and vibrant.

Local Cuisine

Dutch cuisine has its own distinct flavour. While studying in the Netherlands, try classic foods such as bitterballen (deep-fried meatballs), stroopwafels (waffle cookies with caramel syrup), haring (raw herring), and a variety of Dutch cheeses. Local markets are great places to try Dutch street food as well as fresh fruit and refreshments.

Because of its central location in Europe, the Netherlands is a good starting place for visiting the continent.
